ANTI WRINKLE INJECTION
(Botulinim toxin type A)
Botulinum toxin is a muscle relaxant that can be used in to smooth away wrinkles. The injection into the muscle temporarily relaxes the facial muscles for approximately 3-6 months depending on the product used.
The injections are most often used to smooth away the lines caused by movement (dynamic lines). This prevents formation of wrinkles and causes existing lines to soften, forming a smoother, youthful appearance.
The treatment is non-invasive with virtually no down time. You can resume normal activities immediately after treatment. The new General Medical Council (GMC) law requires Botulinum to be prescribed after a face to face consultation with a prescriber before treatment by practitioners.
